Egypt gunmen storm hotel_00013706.jpg

(CNN)Two men with knives attacked at least three guests and threatened others at a hotel in the Egyptian coastal city of Hurghada, the country's Ministry of Interior said Friday.
Security forces stationed at the hotel confronted the men as they tried to escape, killing one and seriously wounding the other, according to the ministry's Facebook page.
Previous reporting indicated the men may have had guns, but the Interior Ministry said each man had a knife and a "sound gun," which does not shoot bullets, according to the ministry.
Two Austrian tourists and a Swedish tourist were stabbed as the attackers were fleeing. The wounded were sent to a hospital and one was was treated and released.
There were no details on the conditions of the others.
The attack took place at the Bella Vista Hotel in the city's busy downtown area, state-run news agency al-Ahram reported.
Hurghada is a resort town along Egypt's Red Sea coast, located about 280 miles (451 kilometers) from Cairo.
