ISLAMABAD: Khalid Shamim, a prime suspect in the killing of MQM leader Dr Imran Farooq, said on Thursday that he was ready to become an approver in the high profile murder case. Khalid Shamim, Mohsin Ali Syed and Moazzam Ali were arrested recently for their alleged role in Farooq’s murder.
According to sources, Shamim has confessed to the murder and said that he received orders from MQM leader Muhammad Anwar in London to assassinate Farooq. On Thursday, as he was being escorted out of court by the police, Shamim said: “I know Altaf Hussain, Anwar and accomplices are being helped by MI6, RAW and the CIA,” he said. “I need help. I want to take this case to the International Court of Justice.”
