SWABI - Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister said on Saturday that he has ordered Pakhtunkhwa Police to take action against the Afghans illegally residing in the province.
Talking to journalists here in Swabi, the chief minister said that without securing the borders, government cannot ensure safety of any city in Pakistan. He said that the time to take solid security measures have come so the federal government should make sure to secure the borders of the country.
He said that Pakistan should clearly talk to Afghanistan on the issue of terrorism. He asked if Afghanis can live in a refugee camp then why can they not live in their own country.
Khattak also demanded the federal government to make the arrangements for the rapid return of Afghan residents, with legal documents, back to their country. He had earlier stressed need of another All Parties Conference (APC) after Charsadda attack.
He said that there was a need to call an APC after the attack. It was not the time to score political points. He said that the federal government should talk straight forward with Afghan authorities, adding that Afghanistan government should take steps to halt cross-border movement.
