ISLAMABAD - Airport security forces (ASF) on Tuesday foiled a bid to smuggle heroin abroad by arresting a passenger at Benazir Bhutto international airport.

According to ASF sources, a passenger named Shahid Ali came at airport to leave for Doha, capital of Qatar through PIA flight PK 287 and after scrutiny of the passenger the ASF found heroin filled capsules in his abdomen. An anti narcotic force (ANF) shifted the passenger to hospital where at least 80 heroin filled capsules were recovered from his abdomen. The ANF sources said that the weight of 80 capsules is about one kilogram worth of millions of rupees in international market.
