Islamabad - Pakistan Ambassador-designate to Bulgaria Babar Hashmi has urged Pakistani businessmen to explore bilateral trade with Bulgaria.
During a visit to Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Saturday, Babar stressed that businessmen should focus on Bulgaria as it was a gateway to enter South-Eastern Europe for promoting Pakistani trade and exports, said a press release issued on Saturday.
He said that many Pakistani goods including leather products, surgical instruments, textiles, fish products and others could be of great interest for Bulgarian consumers.
He said that the ICCI should take a trade delegation to Bulgaria while his embassy would extend all possible facilitation to make its visit successful. President ICCI Atif Ikram Sheikh said that Pakistan embassy in Bulgaria should help in identifying market potential for Pakistani products and share it with local chambers for taking benefit from available business opportunities.
He said that the economy of Pakistan have huge potential for foreign investment and joint ventures in various sectors and ambassador-designate should play role in apprising the Bulgarian traders about such opportunities in Pakistan.
