ISLAMABAD: Condemning the terror attack on Bacha Khan University, former president Asif Ali Zardari said that the attack on the university within a year of similar attack on the Army Public School has raised questions about the implementation of National Action Plan (NAP). It is unfortunate that the NAP developed with consensus after the APS attack last year has not been implemented in letter and spirit, he said. NACTA remains dysfunctional, religious seminaries have not been registered and banned militant organisations continue to operate with impunity, he maintained. Announcing the 10-day mourning after the attack on university students and staffers, the Awami National Party (ANP) also stated that NAP is not being implemented. The ANP chief demanded the prime minister to personally look into the matter.
