ISLAMABAD - In view of the threats to the lives of the suspects in Imran Farooq murder case, the case will now be heard at Adiala Jail and a notification in this regard has also been issued.
According to district administration, the hearing of the Imran Farooq murder case will now be heard in Adiala Jail, Rawalpindi. The administration says that the lives of the suspects in the murder case are under threat.
On the other hand, Minister for Interior Affairs Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan took notice of the suspects talking to media on Thursday. He had also ordered suspension of the officer on duty immediately.
The accused made several revelations pertaining to the case during the talk. The police guard in charge of presenting the suspect to the court has been suspended for failing to prevent this slip up.
The minister stated that the case should be left to the courts. Nisar stated that the truth and justice regarding the case should be upheld no matter what anyone says. Nisar further stated that the suspect’s such kind of talk with the media will leave a negative impact on the case.
On the other hand, Muttahida Qaumi Movement leader Dr Farooq Sattar has stated the party still grieves the loss of Dr Imran Farooq. Sattar reiterated that the suspects of the case were not linked to MQM.
Sattar stated that such cases had been leveled against poltical leaders in the past but could not be proved.
