ISLAMABAD - Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has reserved judgment in the case of transfer of votes in NA-122 which will be announced on February, 1.

A four-member bench of the Election Commission headed by Chief Election Commissioner Sardar Raza Khan took up for hearing a petition filed by PTI leader, Haleem Khan in connection with shifting of votes from NA-122.

ECP had imposed ban on entry of media during the hearing of the case. Talking to journalists outside the Election Commission, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi said Election Commission was not providing them information on rigging which runs contrary to the constitution. “We want Election Commission to become an independent institution,” he said.

He said PTI hopes for justice in the case related to Haleem Khan constituency NA-122. Condemning ban on media entry in election commission he said such ban reflects dictatorial mind set.
