ISLAMABAD – The Supreme Court on Tuesday ordered verification of votes in the National Assembly's NA-110 (Sialkot) constituency – from where Minister for Defence Khawaja Asif had was elected in the 2013 general elections.

According to the private channel, the apex court has directed the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) to verify counterfoils and thumb impressions on the votes in the Sialkot constituency. NADRA has been ordered to submit its report to the Supreme Court within three months.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s Usman Dar had challenged Asif's victory in the election. An election tribunal had earlier dismissed Dar's petition, but Dar later moved the petition in the apex court.
