KARACHI: A tortured body of a woman and a minor child boy were recovered dead from separate areas of the city on Saturday.
According to rescue sources a woman, Sameera, aged about 20, was found dead from Sector 11-D in New Karachi. The corpse was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medico-legal formalities. In another incident, the drowned body of a two-year-old child was recovered near the Native Jetty Bridge. It was shifted to a nearby hospital. The victim’s identity could not be ascertained till filling the report. Two men were killed and four others wounded in different road mishaps in the metropolis on Saturday.
According to rescue sources, a traffic accident occurred on the ICI Bridge in Keamari area, when a heavy trailer-truck driver lost control on the steering when and the vehicle hit four persons. Resultantly, a man died on the spot while three others suffered injuries.
