ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court (SC) on Tuesday sought reply from the federal government for providing a bulletproof vehicle to former chief justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry, within 24 hours.
A three-member bench headed by Justice Saqib Nisar heard the case. The petitioner appeared before the court and said that the former chief justice had now come into politics and formed his own political party, therefore, he could not keep a bulletproof vehicle owned by the state. The petitioner asked the court to issue directives to the federal government to withdraw the vehicle from Chaudhry. The court sought reply from the Ministry of Law and Justice and adjourned the hearing.
