LAHORE - Culprits reportedly stitched 40-year-old man’s lips together using copper wire in alleged captivity over a land dispute, a private television channel reported on Thursday.
The brutally tortured victim Ali Adil was thrown outside Lahore’s Mayo Hospital in unconscious condition. Reportedly, Adil went of his house around 20 days ago and did not return. A few days later, the victim’s family received a USB through courier, which contained a video showing Adil being tortured.
Police sources said that 40-year-old was a resident of Sangla Hill and his rivals abducted him over a property dispute and brutally tortured him and thrown him outside the Mayo Hospital after stitching his lips with copper wires.
Police said that Abid’s wife had got registered an FIR of his husband’s abduction by three accused - Aziz, Saeed and Tanvir, on January 3. Nankana district police officer said that they registered the Adil abduction case on January 3, adding that the police was putting efforts to arrest the accused mentioned in the FIR.
Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has taken notice of stitching of the lips of Adil and sought a report from police. The chief minister ordered immediate arrest of the accused involved in the incident and directed that best treatment facilities should be provided to the victimised person besides justice would be provided to him at any cost.
