ISLAMABAD - Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif returned here on Wednesday after his visit to Switzerland where he attended the Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF) at Davos.
During his visit to Switzerland, the prime minister participated in a number of global events and held bilateral meetings with a number of important political and business leaders of the world.
The prime minister had presented his vision of Pakistan, highlighting the government's efforts towards the regional stability and connectivity. He also addressed a gathering of business leaders organised by the Pathfinder Group and participated in a WEF “Informal Gathering of World Economic Leaders (IGWEL)” where he interacted with top business and political leaders.
The prime minister also visited European Organisation for Nuclear Research (CERN) in Geneva, as a demonstration of Government of Pakistan's strong commitment to the promotion of science and technology at home.
According to a number of leading diplomats and analysts, the prime minister very forcefully and successfully projected Pakistan as a prime destination for business, investment and trade.
