Prior to the news going round about the attack in Delta mall in Warri yesterday, Our correspondent was able to gather enough information from eye witness at the scene and what actually happened.
According to the eyewitness, Mr. Baro Henry who is the former chairman of Uvwie local government in Effurun Warri was accosted by Naval Policemen for packing his car wrongly as the car he packed was distrupting their own movement, argument ensued an Baro slapped one of the Naval men and the Naval policemen forced him to sit on the floor and was seriously harrased.Some minutes later,The harrassed and aggrieved Mr.Baro Henry came into the mall with some hoodlums who were armed to the teeth and Mr Baro was heard saying "that he wanted the mall brought down''(transfer of aggression i guess) and within the twinkle of an eye the boys started destroying the mall,held people bound, broke glasses,stole from the shops in the mall and also attacked the security men on duty.And the attacked continued for almost 2 hours before they left.There was no casualities recorded except some few people who where injured.
Two hours after the attacked yesterday,the mall resumed operations and as at today Mobile policemen and Soldiers are seen inside the mall and investigation is going on about the attack.
